  • On-device OCR: Search scans and PDFs without cloud document parsing.
  • Standard Notes import: Upload your SN backup in Settings.
  • Pro security extras: Vault authenticator plus encrypted email and pCloud backups.

Where Standard Notes wins

FAQ

Questions Standard Notes shoppers ask

Can Deeperguard or its host read my notes?

No. Notes, titles, and attachments are encrypted in your browser before sync. The service stores ciphertext only. Your vault password is never sent in readable form.

Is Deeperguard more secure than Standard Notes?

No — same privacy class (zero-knowledge E2EE), different product surface. Standard Notes has a longer track record; Deeperguard adds a PWA, on-device OCR, and SN import.

What if I lose my vault password?

There is no password reset. Enable daily encrypted email backups and/or pCloud encrypted backups in Settings as soon as your vault is ready — archives stay encrypted, but you keep a copy if a device fails.

What happens after the public beta?

Basic will be €2.99/mo (€29/yr) and Pro €6.99/mo (€69/yr). You will get advance notice before billing starts; beta accounts are not charged without that notice.
